EXPANDED GLASS

Spheroidal granules composed of expanded glass used as a lightened filler. Products with recycled glass, the granules are divided by size into six different groups with average diameter ranging from 0.1 to 8 mm. Despite the extreme lightness, the granules have good compressive strength, resistance to heat and chemicals, excellent sound and thermal insulation properties. When used in plasters, greater strength of the layers and minimal cracking is achieved. The spheroidal granules are classified A1 for flame behavior and are UV resistance. They do not release VOC and can be added to synthetic resins. They find application as filler for mortar, plasters, adhesives and building panels. They are also used for the construction of insulating walls, flooring and as sound-absorbing material.
